Sr Advanced Software Engr - Engineering NGA The Next Generation Avionics NGA Engineering organization is looking for a Senior Engineer to join our product development group located in Bangalore India In this role primary responsibility will be to develop advanced features and functionality for Honeywell s latest cockpit offering - ANTHEM The engineer must have positive knowledge of engineering fundamentals to complete defined project subtasks Job Expectations Good knowledge about C programming and SDLC Detailed understanding and working experience on Avionics Systemsoftware and Certification Experience in the Model Based Development A661 systems SCADE modelling Analysis of customer and operational requirements to define systems architecture capture requirements perform integration systems functional testing and conduct design reviews Ability to develop validate and verify software level requirements for flight deck avionic programs Trouble shoot current systems interfaces and performance problems Able to work with a diverse group of team members who could be geographically distributed Interfaces with stakeholders outside of their CoE including Equipment Engineering Teams Customer Engineering Leads CEL SPE LSE ASL other engineering Good Understanding of Avionics architecture Software and Systems Experience with Agile development processes Knowledge of AGILE tools IBM Rational DOORS NG Requirements Management tool Atlassian JIRA Change management tool Anticipate problems recognize and eliminate barriers Keep management apprised of program status and roadblocks Manage efforts based on priorities availability and commitments Manage efforts based on priorities availability and commitments Basic Qualifications Bachelors or Master s degree in Avionics Electrical Electronic or Computer Engineering 10 years of combined system software hardware product engineering development experience as a technical solution provider and functional discipline leader Additional Qualifications Experience with functional decomposition desired Experience in the development of any or multiple Aircraft functions like Flight Management Display Platforms Software is advantage Experience working with customers on Systems Software requirements required ARP4754 process knowledge strongly preferred 5 years of avionics platform system engineering experience highly desirable Experience on large complicated programs preferred Academic background in Software Engineering preferred Excellent Communication skills Six Sigma Greenbelt certification desired Avionics background Knowledge and experience on ARP4754A Aero Process is required Positive can-do attitude Excellent written and oral communication skills Ability to work effectively as part of team both locally and globally Honeywell helps organizations solve the world s most complex challenges in automation the future of aviation and energy transition As a trusted partner we provide actionable solutions and innovation through our Aerospace Technologies Building Automation Energy and Sustainability Solutions and Industrial Automation business segments - powered by our Honeywell Forge software - that help make the world smarter safer and more sustainable
