Job Title Maintenance Technician - Mechanical Welder Fitter Department Maintenance Engineering Reports To Maintenance Supervisor Mechanical Engineer Location Insert Location Job Type Full time Shift-Based Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician with hands-on experience in mechanical fitting and welding The role involves maintaining and repairing mechanical systems fabricating metal parts and ensuring equipment reliability across the facility The ideal candidate will have experience with industrial machinery piping structural fabrication and general mechanical maintenance Key Responsibilities Perform mechanical fitting assembly and alignment of machines and equipment Carry out welding ARC MIG TIG and fabrication tasks as needed for repairs or installations Diagnose and repair mechanical faults in pumps conveyors gearboxes valves and rotating equipment Cut shape and join metal components to fabricate frames guards supports or other plant structures Read and interpret mechanical drawings fabrication blueprints and piping layouts Assist with installation dismantling and relocation of equipment Conduct preventive maintenance of mechanical systems and keep accurate maintenance records Operate hand tools grinders cutting torches welding machines and lifting equipment safely Follow all safety guidelines including hot work permits and lockout tagout LOTO procedures Collaborate with electricians machinists and production teams for equipment reliability Required Qualifications ITI Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Fitting or Welding 3-5 years of experience as a mechanical fitter and welder in an industrial setting Proficient in Welding techniques ARC MIG TIG Mechanical fitting and alignment Use of measuring instruments vernier micrometer dial gauge etc Ability to read and interpret mechanical fabrication drawings Good understanding of mechanical safety standards and practices Preferred Skills Experience with Pipe fitting and fabrication Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Structural welding and fabrication Certification in welding or mechanical trade optional but preferred Basic knowledge of rigging and material handling Working Conditions Physically demanding role involving lifting bending and working at heights or in confined spaces May require shift work overtime and emergency breakdown support Work in hot noisy or dusty environments depending on the plant Compensation Benefits Competitive salary and overtime pay Medical and accident insurance Paid leaves and performance-based bonuses Tools PPE and training provided Job Type Full-time Pay 18 000 00 - 20 000 00 per month Experience Welding 2 years Preferred mechanic fitter 1 year Preferred Work Location In person
