Latouche Road We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to lead structured swimming lessons for students from pre-primary level onwards in our indoor swimming facility The instructor will be responsible for promoting water safety teaching swimming techniques and creating a fun safe and engaging environment for young learners Key Responsibilities Plan organize and conduct swimming lessons tailored to different age groups and skill levels ages 3 Teach basic to advanced swimming techniques including floating breathing control strokes diving and water safety Ensure constant supervision of students during pool time and enforce safety rules Create a nurturing and encouraging atmosphere that supports young learners and builds confidence in the water Assess students progress regularly and provide feedback to parents and school management Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the pool area and ensure all equipment is in good working order Collaborate with class teachers PE staff and support staff for smooth transition of students to and from the pool Provide first aid in the event of minor injuries and be trained in CPR and emergency water rescue Requirements Proven experience as a swimming instructor preferably in a school or with young children Certification in Swimming Instruction and Lifeguarding e g STA ASA or Red Cross or equivalent recognized body Valid First Aid and CPR certification Strong understanding of child development and age-appropriate teaching strategies Excellent communication and interpersonal skills especially with young children and their parents Patience enthusiasm and a passion for teaching swimming Preferred Qualifications Experience working in a school setting Knowledge of swim curriculum for early childhood and primary years Job Type Contractual Temporary Work Location In person
