Project Accountant role in an engineering company Job Title Project Accountant Location Santoshpur Kolkata Industry Engineering Construction Experience Required 3-7 years preferably in engineering or infrastructure projects Qualification B Com M Com CA Inter MBA Finance Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Project Accountant to manage and monitor financial aspects of engineering projects The ideal candidate will oversee budgeting cost control billing and financial reporting ensuring accurate accounting and compliance with company policies Key Responsibilities Monitor and control project budgets cost allocations and expenditures Prepare project-wise financial reports forecasts and variance analysis Handle all accounting entries related to the project - material labor subcontractor overheads etc Coordinate with project managers engineers and procurement team for financial data Manage vendor and subcontractor payments and reconciliation Track project cash flows advance payments and retentions Ensure timely client billing and follow-up for collections Prepare MIS reports for management review Assist in internal and external audits related to project financials Maintain compliance with tax regulations GST TDS etc Required Skills Robust knowledge of project-based accounting and financial controls Hands-on experience with accounting software Tally SAP or ERP systems Proficiency in MS Excel pivot v-lookup etc Good communication and coordination skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Preferred Experience Prior experience in engineering EPC or infrastructure industries Familiarity with construction accounting and contract billing Salary - Upto 22 k Job Type Full-time Pay 18 000 00 - 22 000 00 per month Application Question s Your highest qualification Any experience in Project Accounting stock monitoring Current and expected salary Santoshpur location is ok Work Location In person
