Job Title Assistant Professor - English Department English Humanities Reports To Head of the Department Principal Job Summary The Assistant Professor in English will be responsible for teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students conducting research mentoring students and contributing to departmental and institutional academic activities The role requires a strong foundation in English literature language and communication skills with a commitment to innovative pedagogy and academic excellence Key Responsibilities Teach undergraduate and or postgraduate courses in English Literature Language and Communication Prepare and deliver lectures tutorials and seminars using innovative teaching methods Develop curriculum course materials and assessments as per academic guidelines Guide students in academic projects dissertations and research activities Engage in scholarly research publications and conference participation Provide academic and career mentoring to students Contribute to departmental activities meetings and academic committees Maintain records of student performance attendance and internal assessments Assist in organizing seminars workshops literary events and guest lectures Ensure adherence to institutional policies UGC AICTE NAAC norms and academic standards Qualifications Experience Master s Degree in English Literature Language Communication with minimum 55 marks or equivalent grade from a recognized university NET SET Ph D in English as per UGC norms mandatory preferred based on institutional requirement Teaching Research experience at college university level preferred Strong communication presentation and mentoring skills Skills Required In-depth knowledge of English Literature Linguistics and Communication Effective classroom management and student engagement skills Research aptitude with ability to publish in reputed journals Proficiency in academic writing and guiding student research Teamwork leadership and organizational abilities Job Types Full time Part-time Pay 25 000 00 - 35 000 00 per month Work Location In person
