Job Summary We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Technical Manager to lead our Microbiology laboratory The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical and operational oversight of our food air and water testing services This role requires a strong background in laboratory management a deep understanding of microbiological testing methodologies and a proven ability to ensure quality accuracy and compliance with all relevant standards and regulations The Technical Manager will also play a key role in team leadership process improvement and strategic growth Key Responsibilities Technical Leadership Serve as the subject matter expert in microbiology testing for food air and water samples Oversee the development validation and implementation of new testing methods and technologies Team Management Lead mentor and train a team of microbiologists and laboratory technicians Conduct performance reviews manage scheduling and foster a culture of quality safety and continuous improvement Quality Assurance Control Ensure the laboratory operates in full compliance with ISO standards e g ISO 17025 and other regulatory requirements Oversee all Quality Control QC and Quality Assurance QA activities including instrument calibration method validation and proficiency testing Operational Excellence Manage day-to-day laboratory operations including sample reception analysis data review and timely reporting Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective actions to maintain efficiency and data integrity Regulatory Compliance Stay current with all relevant national and international regulations and guidelines for food air and water testing Ensure all laboratory activities adhere to these standards Client Stakeholder Interaction Act as a technical point of contact for clients providing expert consultation and support Collaborate with the sales and business development teams to expand service offerings and address client needs Documentation Reporting Oversee the preparation and review of all technical documentation including SOPs validation protocols and final reports Ensure all records are accurate complete and properly maintained Qualifications and Skills Education Bachelor s or Master s degree in Microbiology Biotechnology or a related scientific field Experience A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in a commercial or accredited testing laboratory with a focus on microbiology Technical Expertise Extensive hands-on experience and a deep theoretical understanding of microbiological testing for food air and water samples Leadership Proven experience in managing and leading a team of technical professionals Regulatory Knowledge In-depth knowledge of relevant quality standards and regulations e g ISO 17025 FSSAI EPA BIS Problem-Solving Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to address complex technical and operational challenges Communication Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to both internal and external stakeholders Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 957 424 39 - 1 463 385 60 per year Perks Provident Fund Schedule Day shift Supplemental Pay Yearly bonus Work Location In person
