Facade Engineering UKIMEA Region MUM00008E Joining Arup Arup s purpose shared values and collaborative approach has set us apart for over 75 years guiding how we shape a better world We are an independent firm of designers planners engineers consultants and technical specialists offering a broad range of professional services Through our work we make a positive difference in the world Arup is an UK-headquartered independent firm with 92 offices in 34 countries and 18 000 staff across the globe Dedicated to sustainable development Arup is a collective of engineers designers consultants and experts worldwide Founded to be humane and excellent we collaborate with our clients and partners using imagination technology and rigour to shape a better world Working for Arup India offers the chance to work on exciting projects with a truly collaborative team including top experts in their field who are approachable and always happy to help It s an exciting time to be a part our growth in India Watch this short clip to discover how Arup are shaping a better world and how you could be a part of it The Opportunity Arup Facades is an enthusiastic dedicated and energetic multi-disciplinary team of facade designers and engineers We are a leading consultancy in our space both locally and internationally and our team includes engineers technical specialists building physicists and architects all of whom share a passionate interest in cladding design Our creativity and technical expertise allow us to take on ambitious projects that few companies can deliver We have an opportunity for a talented Senior Facade Access Consultant to join our team the successful candidate will become a permanent member of our creative friendly team and will work on a variety of exciting projects both in the India and Internationally You will have excellent technical and software skills and enjoy working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams supporting projects from inception to completion In this role you will Provide concept and detailed design work across a broad range of projects within facade access including structural mechanical architectural and building envelope related fields Manage post-tender reviews site inspections and report writing Lead the technical design input on such projects ensuring work quality is maintained at expected standard Undertaking design yourself you will use your knowledge and experience to support other team members Work directly with our clients architects contractors and facade industry suppliers with awareness of project management and working with multi-disciplinary teams Provide technical input on a broad range of local international projects facade access related materials and designs Receiving support from our senior team members and providing support to the junior team members Perform inspections of buildings roofs safety line systems building maintenance units Develop strong communication links within the facade access team and related disciplines Manage the time quality and performance of projects including monitoring project budgets Attend meetings and communicate with clients and design disciplines to establish their needs with extending relationships with existing key clients to enable an expansion of business opportunities for the team At Arup you belong to an extraordinary collective - to Arup to your career to our members and to the clients and communities we serve If this role right for you We are looking for candidates with A Chartered Engineer status or Eligibility for Chartership An ability to independently undertake project and technical analyses and report on results with experience in the consulting engineering environment including the ability to advise clients on cost-effective sustainable solutions Software skills -
