The Senior Plumbing Design Engineer is responsible for leading and delivering complete plumbing sanitary fire protection and related building services designs for residential commercial industrial and infrastructure projects The role involves design management code compliance coordination with multidisciplinary teams and ensuring high-quality engineering outputs Key Responsibilities1 Design Engineering Lead the design of plumbing drainage water supply STP WTP rainwater harvesting and fire-fighting systems Prepare detailed engineering calculations for pipe sizing pump head water demand drainage loads and system capacity Develop design drawings schematics and layout plans using AutoCAD Revit Ensure compliance with NBC IS Codes ASHRAE IPC NFPA and local authority regulations Perform hydraulic calculations pump selection pressure balancing and equipment sizing 2 Project Coordination Coordinate with architects structural electrical HVAC and fire safety teams Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and CAD BIM technicians Attend design meetings site visits technical reviews and client discussions Review and approve shop drawings contractor submissions and material submittals 3 Documentation Reports Prepare design reports BOQs technical specifications tender documents and cost estimates Review project documents for quality accuracy and completeness Support project bidding and provide technical clarifications during tendering 4 Construction Support Conduct site inspections to ensure installation is as per approved drawings and standards Resolve technical issues during construction and coordinate with contractors Validate as-built drawings and support commissioning activities Required Skills Competencies Strong expertise in plumbing firefighting drainage and water supply design Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit MEP and hydraulic calculation tools Deep knowledge of IS Codes NBC NFPA and other international standards Ability to lead teams and manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication coordination and problem-solving skills Qualifications B E B Tech in Mechanical Engineering Civil Engineering or related field 7-12 years of experience in plumbing public health engineering PHE design Experience with high-rise commercial residential industrial or healthcare projects Preferred Experience in green building systems LEED IGBC Knowledge of BIM workflows and clash detection tools Navisworks Experience in large-scale mixed-use and infrastructure projects Job Types Full time Permanent Benefits Cell phone reimbursement Commuter assistance Health insurance Paid time off Provident Fund Work Location In person
