Job Title Senior Civil Engineer - PMC Site Railway Sector Experience Minimum 10 Years Location Location - e g Project Site Southern Africa Countries India Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer for our PMC Project Management Consultancy team specializing in railway infrastructure projects The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in civil engineering related to railway projects with strong expertise in site supervision project monitoring quality assurance and coordination between contractors clients and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery Key Responsibilities Supervise and monitor civil engineering activities at the railway project site ensuring strict adherence to design specifications safety quality and statutory regulations Review and validate detailed drawings structural designs and technical submittals related to track works bridges stations culverts embankments and other railway civil structures Conduct regular site inspections and audits to ensure execution in accordance with approved designs and contract documents Monitor construction progress track deviations and ensure timely resolution of technical and contractual issues Prepare detailed site reports daily progress reports quality control reports and project status updates for the PMC management and client Liaise with contractors clients such as Railway Authorities and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and resolve site-related issues Ensure implementation of health safety and environmental protocols on-site in compliance with railway norms and best practices Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers and site staff for efficient project execution Review contractor s method statements construction schedules and material submittals ensuring feasibility and compliance Support contract administration including evaluation of variations claims and certification of interim payments Facilitate technical inspections by clients and statutory authorities Ensure close coordination with other engineering disciplines Track Signaling Electrical for integrated project execution Required Qualifications Skills Bachelor s Degree in Civil Engineering B E B Tech Master s Degree is a plus Skilled engineering license e g Chartered Engineer is desirable Minimum 10 years of experience in railway infrastructure projects preferably in a PMC site role In-depth knowledge of railway civil works - track structures bridges station buildings retaining walls culverts etc Hands-on experience with project monitoring quality assurance site supervision and reporting Proficiency in civil engineering software - AutoCAD STAAD Pro MS Project Primavera Strong understanding of Indian Railway standards guidelines and safety codes Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Ability to work independently with strong problem-solving and decision-making capability Exposure to contract management and PMC site coordination practices Preferred Experience Previous work experience on railway track laying bridge construction or station development projects Familiarity with railway-specific materials specifications and construction methodologies Experience in coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams on-site Application process Interested applicant must have a valid passport with a minimum validity till 2027 and willingness to travel to Southern Africa countries for PMC project work Interested applicants may apply by emailing their CV in pdf format on email protected
