Project Brief Asani is a women-led initiative by The Desai Foundation Trust that addresses menstruation-related challenges through a holistic approach Operated under our Section 8 company Asani focuses on producing and distributing affordable high-quality sanitary napkins to ensure access awareness and dignity for women and girls in rural and semi-urban India The project also empowers rural women by employing them in manufacturing distribution and sales creating sustainable livelihoods Through its awareness programs Asani promotes healthy menstrual practices breaks stigma and helps girls stay in school and women remain active at work www asaninapkins org Position Overview The Senior Manager - Asani Project will play a key leadership role in strengthening and scaling the Asani enterprise This individual will lead end-to-end management of production efficiency distribution channels and partnerships for bulk sales The role demands a strategic thinker with robust operational and business acumen to enhance the visibility and impact of Asani through collaborations with government corporates and NGOs Key Responsibilities 1 Strategic Leadership Planning Lead the overall planning implementation and scaling of the Asani Project under the Section 8 company framework Develop and execute strategies to increase efficiency across production supply chain and distribution channels Set short- and long-term goals for project sustainability and expansion 2 Production Operations Management Oversee production processes to ensure quality efficiency and cost-effectiveness Introduce innovative methods and technologies to optimize productivity and reduce waste Coordinate with production units procurement teams and logistics partners for smooth operations 3 Sales Business Development Drive bulk sales and institutional partnerships with NGOs corporates and government departments Develop sales strategies and explore new business opportunities and distribution networks Negotiate contracts MoUs and strategic tie-ups to expand the project s market reach 4 Marketing Visibility Plan and implement visibility and awareness campaigns to strengthen the Asani brand Collaborate with communication teams for impactful campaigns CSR tie-ups and digital promotions Represent Asani at external forums exhibitions and conferences 5 Financial Impact Management Prepare and monitor annual budgets targets and financial reports for the project Ensure compliance with Section 8 company norms documentation and governance requirements Track and report impact metrics ensuring alignment with organizational objectives 6 Team Leadership Coordination Lead and mentor the Asani project team ensuring accountability and performance excellence Foster collaboration across departments production logistics finance programs Build a strong organizational culture focused on innovation efficiency and social impact Skills and competences Strategic Thinking Business Acumen Supply Chain Process Optimization Partnership Development Negotiation Team Leadership Capacity Building Communication Brand Representation Financial Impact Reporting Qualifications Experience Only Female Candidate is Preferred for this Role Master s Degree in Business Administration Operations Management Social Enterprise or related field 6-12 years of experience in operations production management or social enterprise preferably in FMCG menstrual hygiene or social sector manufacturing Proven experience in bulk institutional sales supply chain optimization and partnership building Strong understanding of Section 8 operations compliance and reporting structure Excellent leadership communication and negotiation skills Willingness to travel to production units field sites and partner locations Remuneration Remuneration will depend on the qualification experience which will be negotiable Apply If you are interested please send your CV Resume with the subject line Senior Manager - Asani at recruitment desaifoundationtrust org Job Type Full-time Benefits Health insurance Work from home Work Location In person
