A Zonal Vertical Head (Motor Dealer) is responsible for driving top-line growth, ensuring portfolio diversification across vehicle segments, and maintaining sustainable profitability. The ideal candidate will lead a team of Relationship Managers, manage OEM and dealer partnerships, and ensure compliance with regulatory and operational standards.
Key responsibilities:
- Drive and achieve monthly top-line targets through the Motor Dealer vertical across the assigned zone.
- Ensure portfolio diversification across two-wheelers, four-wheelers, private cars, and commercial vehicles.
- Lead the onboarding of OEMs and ensure consistent dealer activation through the team.
- Monitor and manage individual and team targets for dealer activation and premium generation.
- Achieve overall Gross Written Premium (GWP) targets while maintaining sustainable profitability.
- Maintain Combined Operating Ratio (COR) within budgeted levels by minimizing loss ratios and acquisition costs.
- Ensure full compliance with IRDAI regulations, especially regarding licensing and commission payments.
- Lead, mentor,
and manage a team of Relationship Managers to drive performance and engagement.
- Train the team on product knowledge, processes, and the company’s unique selling propositions (USPs).
- Identify areas for improvement and explore recent business opportunities through networking and lead generation.
- Resolve underwriting discrepancies and ensure timely policy issuance at the branch level.
- Analyze and address policy rejections and operational issues to ensure smooth service delivery.
Prior Work Experience:
- 10 - 15 years
- GI in Motor dealer/ OEM
