About the Role

We're looking for an experienced YouTube Manager to own the strategy, growth, and day-to-day operations of the YouTube channels. You'll work closely with marketing teams to drive subscriber growth, watch time, and audience engagement.

Key Responsibilities

- Develop and execute the overall YouTube content strategy aligned with brand/business goals

- Plan, manage, and maintain the content calendar across long-form and Shorts formats

- Optimize videos for discoverability (titles, thumbnails, descriptions, tags, SEO best practices)

- Analyze channel performance using YouTube Analytics and provide actionable insights/reports

- Manage end-to-end video publishing workflow — coordinate with scriptwriters, editors, and designers

- Run A/B tests on thumbnails, titles, and formats to improve CTR and retention

- Stay updated on YouTube algorithm changes, trends, and platform best practices

- Manage community engagement — comments, community posts, and audience interaction

- Monitor competitor channels and industry trends to identify growth opportunities





- Manage YouTube ad campaigns/promotions in coordination with the marketing team

- Ensure compliance with YouTube policies, copyright guidelines, and monetization rules

- Track KPIs: subscriber growth, watch time, CTR, audience retention, revenue (AdSense/sponsorships)

Requirements

- 5+ years of experience managing YouTube channel(s), preferably with proven growth results

- Strong understanding of YouTube algorithm, SEO, and analytics tools

- Experience with video editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or similar) — hands-on editing not mandatory but a plus

- Proficiency with YouTube Studio, TubeBuddy/VidIQ, or similar tools

- Solid project management and cross-functional coordination skills

- Excellent copywriting skills for titles, descriptions, and community posts

- Data-driven mindset with the ability to translate analytics into strategy

- Prior experience in [industry-specific, e.g., tech, entertainment, education] is a plus

- Portfolio or case study of channels managed with measurable growth
