Workfront Fusion Integration Developer
Team: Workfront ↔ Azure DevOps + AI Integration
Level: Mid–Senior
About the role
You'll build and own the integrations that connect Adobe Workfront and Azure DevOps — and increasingly a Claude-based AI layer — inside a large, complex enterprise ecosystem. This is hands-on Workfront Fusion development plus the judgment to work safely in a shared, multi-team, multi-vendor workplace. Success is measured by reliable, low-noise automation that eliminates manual handoffs between planning (Workfront) and delivery (Azure DevOps).
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain Workfront Fusion scenarios: watch/trigger, routers, filters, data stores, error handling, and scheduling.
- Integrate Workfront and Azure DevOps via REST APIs — work-item creation, field/status/comment sync, webhooks/Service Hooks, area-path mapping, and idempotent, loop-safe two-way flows.
- Own the field-mapping specification end to end, partnering with business SMEs to translate a complex org/custom-form model into correct, maintainable mappings.
- Handle auth and reliability: OAuth2/JWT, retries, rate limits, logging, and monitoring.
- Work within governance guardrails — sandbox-first development, change control, and coordination with other teams/vendors already operating in the Fusion environment.
- Design for scale across multiple teams, not one-off scenarios; document runbooks and support handover.
- Collaborate with ADO and AI engineers as the solution extends toward MCP/agent-based workflows.
Required skills
- 3+ years building integrations, with hands-on Workfront Fusion (or robust Make/Integromat/n8n equivalent and fast Fusion ramp).
- Solid Adobe Workfront data model knowledge: projects/tasks/issues, custom forms & parameter values, statuses, request queues/templates, constraints.
- Strong REST/HTTP/JSON skills: building and consuming APIs, webhooks, pagination, error handling.
- Azure DevOps working knowledge: work-item types, Area/Iteration paths, Service Hooks, field mapping.
- Comfort with auth flows (OAuth2, JWT/service credentials) and secure secret handling.
- Disciplined, documentation-oriented approach to change in a shared production environment.
Nice to have
- Workfront administration/architecture experience (governance, multi-team scale, licensing).
- Familiarity with AEM concepts (OOTB Core Components vs. custom) and delivery workflows.
- Exposure to LLM/AI integrations, Claude, MCP, or agent-based automation.
- Experience operating alongside multiple vendors/teams in one platform without workstream conflicts.
