We're hiring a WordPress and Shopify Backend Developer to design, develop, and maintain custom websites and e-commerce stores for our clients. You'll work closely with our design and front-end teams to bring projects to life, troubleshoot issues, and ensure our sites are rapid, secure, and scalable.

Responsibilities

- Develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites, including custom themes and plugins

- Build and manage Shopify stores, including custom themes, apps, and Liquid templating

- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented PHP, JavaScript, and Liquid code

- Integrate third-party APIs, payment gateways, and plugins/apps

- Optimize websites for speed, performance, and SEO best practices

- Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, security issues, and performance bottlenecks

- Collaborate with designers and project managers to implement pixel-perfect designs

- Maintain and update existing client sites, including plugin/theme updates and backups

- Ensure cross-browser and cross-device compatibility

- Stay current with WordPress and Shopify platform updates, trends, and best practices

Requirements





- Proven experience as a backend developer working with WordPress (custom themes/plugins) and Shopify (Liquid, custom apps/themes)

- Strong proficiency in PHP, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and MySQL

- Experience with Shopify's Liquid templating language and Shopify APIs

- Familiarity with popular WordPress plugins (WooCommerce, ACF, Elementor, etc.)

- Understanding of website security, performance optimization, and SEO fundamentals

- Experience with Git/version control

- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment

Nice to Have

- Experience with React, Vue, or other JavaScript frameworks

- Familiarity with headless CMS setups

- Experience with hosting/server management (cPanel, AWS, etc.)

- Prior agency or freelance client-facing experience

Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹16,000.00 per month
