Job Purpose Ensure that our products comply with national safety performance and regulatory standards This role involves managing end-to-end product testing and certification processes coordinating with third-party labs and regulatory authorities and maintaining compliance documentation The position plays a key role in enabling market readiness supporting export certifications and safeguarding product quality and reliability Key ResponsibilitiesConduct testing and certification of multiple household appliances Liaise with third-party laboratories for product testing and certification Collaborate with regulatory bodies such as BIS BEE NABL and ISO to ensure adherence to compliance requirements Demonstrate in-depth understanding of IS and IEC standards including IEC 60335-1 IS 374 IS 4250 and other relevant appliance standards Manage and support export certification processes to facilitate global market access Maintain accurate testing reports technical documentation and records in line with BIS guidelines Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures SOPs and internal testing standards Coordinate and manage internal and external audits ensuring timely closure of non-conformities Prepare comprehensive project documentation with robust attention to detail Collaborate with suppliers manufacturing partners and testing agencies to align testing activities with project timelines and business objectives Must-Have SkillsStrong knowledge of certification standards IS IEC BIS BEE NABL ISO Hands-on experience with product testing and certification processes for consumer durable goods or household appliances Ability to interpret and apply compliance standards and guidelines in practical scenarios Proficiency in documentation audit handling and report preparation Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills with external labs and internal teams Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under tight project deadlines Educational QualificationsBachelor s degree in Engineering B Tech B E - preferably in Electrical Electronics or Mechanical Engineering Experience 1 to 4 years of relevant experience in certification compliance and product testing Prior experience in consumer durables or working with testing laboratories is preferred Job Snapshot Updated Date 04-10-2025 Job ID JB1670 Department Research Development Location Pune Maharashtra India Experience 1 - 3 Years Employee Type Permanent
