This role is for one of Weekday s clients Salary range Rs 700000 - Rs 1300000 ie INR 7-13 LPA Min Experience 6 years Location Bengaluru JobType full time Requirements We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Structural Engineer with a strong background in steel structures and connection design to join our engineering team The ideal candidate will have 6 years of professional experience in structural analysis design and detailing with expertise in tools such as STAAD STAAD-Pro and SACS This role requires the ability to deliver safe cost-effective and innovative structural solutions across a variety of industrial commercial and infrastructure projects You will be responsible for performing complex structural analyses preparing detailed design documents and ensuring compliance with relevant codes standards and client requirements Key Responsibilities Structural Design Analysis Perform detailed structural analysis and design of steel structures including frames trusses platforms towers and pipe racks Carry out connection design for welded and bolted joints in compliance with international design codes Utilize advanced engineering software such as STAAD STAAD-Pro and SACS to develop models run simulations and optimize design solutions Technical Documentation Prepare design calculations drawings and detailed reports for submission to clients and stakeholders Review shop drawings fabrication drawings and vendor submissions to ensure accuracy and alignment with design intent Ensure design deliverables comply with industry standards AISC IS Eurocodes API etc and client specifications Project Execution Work closely with project managers drafters and multidisciplinary teams to ensure timely delivery of project milestones Provide technical input during project planning risk assessments and feasibility studies Conduct structural integrity assessments and support value engineering initiatives to optimize cost and material usage Collaboration Coordination Liaise with clients consultants contractors and vendors to resolve technical queries Collaborate with construction teams to address design-related issues during execution Participate in design reviews technical discussions and site visits as required Quality Compliance Ensure all engineering activities adhere to company quality management systems Conduct design checks peer reviews and validation of structural models to maintain high engineering standards Stay updated with evolving codes practices and innovations in structural engineering Skills Experience Required Experience Minimum of 6 years in structural engineering with a focus on steel structures Core Skills Expertise in steel structure analysis and connection design Proficiency in STAAD STAAD-Pro and SACS software for structural modeling and analysis Strong knowledge of structural design codes and standards AISC IS 800 Eurocodes API BS etc Familiarity with structural dynamics fatigue analysis and offshore onshore design considerations Preferred Skills Exposure to fabrication erection and construction aspects of steel structures Experience in reviewing vendor designs and third-party engineering deliverables Knowledge of AutoCAD Tekla or similar tools for structural detailing Soft Skills Strong analytical problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent communication and coordination skills Ability to handle multiple projects and work in a collaborative deadline-driven environment
