Role & responsibilities

Manage the complete purchase process for construction and project-related materials.

- Procure civil, electrical, plumbing, sanitary, hardware, finishing, MEP, and other construction items.
- Maintain strong relationships and good connections with reliable vendors, suppliers, contractors, and manufacturers.
- Source recent vendors and develop a strong vendor network for regular and urgent requirements.
- Obtain quotations, compare rates, negotiate prices, and finalise vendors.
- Check material quality, specifications, rates, availability, and delivery schedules.
- Prepare purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials at project sites.
- Coordinate with the Project, Site, Stores, Accounts, and Management teams.
- Resolve issues related to material quality, shortage, delivery, billing, and vendor payments.
- Maintain vendor records, purchase files, rate comparisons, and procurement reports.




- Ensure cost-effective purchasing while maintaining quality and project timelines.

Preferred candidate profile

- Proven experience in purchasing construction materials for real estate or construction projects.
- Strong practical knowledge of civil, electrical, plumbing, finishing, and general construction items.
- Established contacts and good working relationships with construction material vendors and suppliers.
- Excellent negotiation, vendor management, and market knowledge.
- Ability to compare rates and identify cost-effective purchasing options.
- Strong communication, coordination, and follow-up skills.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and purchase/ERP software.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage urgent project requirements.
