Key Responsibilities:

- Operate and handle road cutting machines as per the required cutting depth, width, and site conditions.

- Perform daily machine inspection and preventive maintenance before starting work.

- Check and maintain cutting blades, belts, bearings, shafts, pulleys, gears, and other mechanical components.

- Ensure proper blade alignment, fitting, tightening, and replacement as required.

- Identify and troubleshoot basic mechanical and operational problems in the road cutter machine.

- Carry out minor repairs and adjustments to ensure smooth machine operation.

- Check engine/motor, lubrication, coolant, fuel, hydraulic system, and other machine parameters, wherever applicable.

- Maintain proper lubrication and greasing of machine components as per the maintenance schedule.

- Ensure the machine is operated within the manufacturer's recommended operating limits.





- Monitor machine performance during operation and immediately report any abnormal noise, vibration, overheating, leakage, or malfunction.

- Assist the maintenance team in dismantling, assembling, repairing, and replacing mechanical parts.

- Maintain basic records of machine inspection, maintenance, breakdowns, and spare parts used.

- Ensure proper housekeeping around the machine and work area.

- Follow all PPE, safety, and site-specific safety procedures while operating or maintaining the machine.

- Ensure the machine is safely parked, switched off, and isolated before carrying out maintenance or blade replacement.

- Coordinate with the site supervisor/maintenance team regarding machine breakdowns and maintenance requirements.
