What you ll do The position primarily focuses on driving Value Analysis Value Engineering VAVE initiatives across various product lines within the PDCA division of ES-Americas The candidate should possess strong expertise in VAVE methodologies cost reduction and cost avoidance through New Product Introductions NPI Must demonstrate excellent decision-making effective communication and collaboration skills to engage global stakeholders across PDCA product lines The role involves leading cost reduction projects using Design to Value methodology setting benchmarks for cost optimization processes A solid technical understanding of electrical products especially in the Low Voltage LV and Medium Voltage MV segments is essential Additionally the candidate should be adept at capturing internal customer requirements managing projects efficiently and delivering results in a fast-paced environment -BE Btech ME Mtech Mechanical engineering with 7 to 10 years experience in Electromechanical Product design and identifying the Costout opportunties within it Should have lead and worked on the costout projects for LV MV Electrical prioducts viz Contactor Switch Disconnector Electrical fuses Circuit Breakers Panel boards Relay products Expertise in Product Teardown analysis Design Benchmarking Competitive Benchmarking Function analysis and lead the technical evaluations with experts to make decisions Extensive experience working for product design multiple material selections understanding of the design of copper and Aluminium busbars Should have experience in BOM costing spend analysis and able to do the costing at the components level Should have knowledge on the global design standards like IEC UL CSA NEMA or any other compliance standard Modify existing products to support customer manufacturing applicable regulatory and industry standard and market requirement Experience in PLM system is required to get drawings and cost data Enovia SAP preferred and analyse them to generate cost effective ideas Should have a strong relationship building capabilities within and outside the team and collaborate to achieve better outcomes for Cost savings opportunities Qualifications BE Btech ME Mtech in Mechanical 7 to 10 years experience in industry Various electrical products Circuit breaker Fuses Panel boards LV MV switchgear Skills Product design VAVE expertise Electromechanical products Costout cost avoidance Teardown benchmarking BOM costing Working in global business workplace Decision making Collaboration communication result oriented Strategic planning good presentation skills
