CNC Milling / Turning Setup Operator (Aerospace)

Job Purpose

Responsible for CNC milling and turning machine setup, tool setting, program proving, and production of precision aerospace components as per customer drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Set up CNC Milling and/or CNC Turning machines as per production drawings, setup sheets, and work instructions.
- Install, align, and verify fixtures, cutting tools, and workpieces.
- Perform tool offset setting and program prove-out before production.
- Conduct first-piece inspection using precision measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and other inspection tools.
- Monitor machining processes and make necessary offset corrections to maintain dimensional accuracy.
- Ensure components are manufactured as per aerospace quality standards and customer requirements.
- Follow FOD (Foreign Object Debris) control practices and 5S standards.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and maintain workplace cleanliness.
- Record setup parameters, inspection results, and production details.
- Coordinate with Quality, Production, and Engineering teams for process improvement and issue resolution.
