Role & responsibilities

- Write clear and meaningful alt text for images related to engineering subjects (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Electronics, Computer Science, etc.).
- Interpret technical diagrams, flowcharts, graphs, equations, and schematics accurately.
- Ensure alt text complies with accessibility standards (WCAG, ADA).
- Collaborate with editors, SMEs, and production teams to maintain content accuracy and consistency.
- Follow client-specific style guides and project instructions.




- Perform quality checks to ensure clarity, completeness, and correctness of alt text.

Preferred candidate profile

- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field (preferred).
- Strong English writing skills with excellent grammar and clarity.
- Prior experience in alt text writing, content writing, or e-publishing is highly desirable.
- Ability to understand and explain engineering concepts in simple, accurate language.
- Familiarity with accessibility guidelines is a plus.
- Good attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
