NewBeginnings Charitable Trust is a registered non-profit working to empower women and children from the vulnerable indigenous rural communities in Andhra Pradesh, India.

MISSION Conforming to the provisions of the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and targeting primarily SDGs 1, 3, 4, 5, 8, and 13. “With the Forgotten, Vulnerable, and Abused” NewBeginnings works towards the eradication of poverty and inequality and to impact lives with a significant difference in the quality of life of the marginalized, women, and children.

We’re dedicated to creating positive changes in the lives of women, children, and the marginalized—vulnerable groups—all who envision a happier, rights-based, and deeply satisfying life. NCT is a nonprofit working at the grassroots level to create increasingly developed, rights-based, equal, and self-sustaining communities.

We aspire to eradicate poverty and hunger principally in rural areas, which account for 68% of the total population of India. Poverty is the source of many social evils, such as child labor, human trafficking, illiteracy, human rights violations, and famine.

NCT concentrates on the socio-economic empowerment of women as a proven way to promote gender equality and to eradicate poverty.

NCT is based in Vijayawada, India. We are currently a team of ten staff members and around 50 local and international volunteers who join us throughout the year.

, NewBeginnings Charitable Trust (NCT) is seeking a few detail-oriented, committed, and enthusiastic grant writer-volunteers to support our fundraising and partnership-building efforts. We are looking for individuals who can contribute meaningfully to our mission to advance the rights and protections of women, girls, and children in vulnerable rural communities.

This role is ideal for someone who wants to make a meaningful impact while gaining valuable nonprofit development experience—with the opportunity for future paid compensation based on performance and funding success.

Key Responsibilities

- Research and identify grant opportunities aligned with our mission (women, children, girls, education, Sexual and Gender-Based Violence, Human Trafficking, Child marriage, Vocational Skills, Micro-credits, Food Security/extreme poverty, drug prevention, etc)
- Write compelling grant proposals, letters of inquiry (LOIs), and funding applications
- Collaborate with leadership to gather program data, budgets, and impact stories
- Track grant deadlines and maintain a grant calendar
- Assist with reporting requirements for awarded grants

Qualifications

- Solid writing, editing, and research skills
- Experience with grant writing, fundraising, or nonprofit development (preferred but not required)
- Ability to communicate impact clearly and persuasively
- Organized, self-motivated, and deadline-driven
- Passion for community service, housing stability, and social impact
