Job title Junior Systems Administrator Location Hyderabad Experience 2-3 Years Junior Systems Administrator SPARC ZFS Virtualization Role Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Systems Administrator with a focus on storage virtualization and server infrastructure to join our dynamic IT operations team The ideal candidate will have approximately 2-3 years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise environments with specific exposure to Oracle SPARC servers and ZFS storage systems In this role you will be crucial in maintaining the health performance and availability of our critical infrastructure to meet our 99 5 availability SLA for server and virtual environment Key Responsibilities Server Storage Management o Perform daily health monitoring of Oracle SPARC server hardware CPU memory disks fans and the Oracle ZFS Storage Appliance o Provision storage by creating and managing LUNs file systems and shares on the ZFS platform o Execute firmware upgrades and assist with lifecycle management for SPARC and ZFS hardware under the guidance of senior engineers o Manage storage snapshots and replications on ZFS for data protection and rapid recovery Virtualization Support VMware o Provision deploy and manage virtual machines using VMware vSphere vCenter o Perform routine tasks such as VM cloning template creation and patching of VMware Tools o Monitor and optimize virtual resource allocation vCPU RAM storage to ensure efficient operation o Provide support for the Veeam backup solution including initiating restores and verifying backup jobs for VMs Incident Response Support o Respond to server hardware and VM hypervisor failure alerts within the 30-minute response time SLA o Perform initial troubleshooting and escalate complex issues to senior engineers to drive resolution within the 6-hour target o Provide hybrid support coverage 8x7 as part of a rotating schedule Operational Tasks o Create and manage tickets for all incidents service requests and changes o Generate and analyze capacity planning and utilization reports for storage and compute resources o Maintain accurate and up-to-date technical documentation for procedures and configurations Required Qualifications Experience Education Associate s or Bachelor s degree in Information Technology Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience Experience 2-3 years of experience in a systems administration or infrastructure support role Platform-Specific Skills Mandatory o Hands-on experience with Oracle SPARC servers T-series M-series etc including hardware monitoring and firmware management o Practical experience with Oracle ZFS Storage Appliances ZS3 ZS4 ZS5 series etc including provisioning snapshot and replication management Core Technical Skills o Proven experience with VMware vSphere vCenter for virtual machine management o Understanding of core IT infrastructure concepts networking TCP IP LAN server hardware and storage protocols NFS iSCSI o Familiarity with backup and recovery concepts experience with Veeam is a significant plus Operational Skills o Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented hybrid support environment o Solid problem-solving and troubleshooting skills o Excellent communication and documentation skills Preferred Qualifications Relevant industry certifications e g VMware VCP Oracle Solaris SPARC certifications CompTIA Server Exposure to High Availability HA and Disaster Recovery DR concepts and configurations Basic scripting skills Bash Python or PowerShell for automation of routine tasks Experience working in a managed services environment with defined SLAs Only suitable candidates may email CVs to info bsit sa Job Type Full-time Pay 100 000 00 - 200 000 00 per year Work Location In person
