Job Title Site Engineer Interior Design Site Construction Location Chennai Position Type Full-Time Reports To Project Manager Construction Manager Position Overview We are seeking a skilled and proactive Site Engineer with expertise in Interior Design and Site Construction Works preferably with experience in metro cities to join our agile team The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in civil engineering with a minimum of 4 years experience in construction projects in metropolitan areas This experience is crucial for managing the complexities and fast-paced nature of high-profile projects in urban environments The candidate should have a solid understanding of interior design principles construction site management and engineering practices with the ability to manage large-scale projects effectively Key Responsibilities Site Management Supervision Oversee construction activities and ensure that work is carried out according to design specifications and quality standards Supervise and coordinate contractors subcontractors and site personnel on-site Ensure compliance with safety standards building codes and local regulations especially in metro city settings where regulations can be stricter Monitor project progress against schedules and resolve any deviations promptly Quality Control Inspect construction materials and workmanship to ensure they meet the required quality and standards Conduct regular site inspections to ensure that interior design elements are being implemented as per plan Address and resolve any quality-related issues coordinating with contractors and suppliers as needed Project Documentation Maintain accurate and up-to-date site records including progress material usage labor attendance and any incidents or changes Prepare daily weekly and monthly progress reports for senior management Ensure all project documentation including design drawings specifications and change orders are properly recorded and easily accessible Coordination with Design Team Collaborate closely with the interior design team to ensure that design concepts are effectively integrated and executed on-site Provide technical input on feasibility and assist in implementing design ideas within the constraints of the urban construction environment Assist with the selection and procurement of materials as per the design requirements Client Vendor Relations Act as the primary point of contact for clients regarding the status of the project Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for the timely delivery of materials keeping in mind the logistical challenges of working in metro cities Maintain robust client relationships and manage expectations ensuring that projects meet deadlines and quality standards Problem Solving Troubleshooting Address and resolve challenges that arise on-site particularly those related to working in busy metro city environments e g limited space accessibility Provide guidance and support to contractors and workers to resolve in office issues promptly Required Qualification Skills Educational Qualification Diploma in Civil Engineering or Bachelor of Engineering BE in Civil Engineering Experience 4 years of experience in construction site management or interior design works with at least 2 years of experience in metro cities Proven experience managing construction projects in urban areas preferably within the interior design and commercial construction sectors Work Environment The role will require frequent site visits and on-site presence especially in metro city environments The candidate should be comfortable with the unique challenges of working in high-traffic densely populated areas including dealing with permits regulations and logistical complexities Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 30 000 00 - 40 000 00 per month Willingness to travel 25 Preferred Work Location In person
