We're Hiring: Video Editor - Ascencio Legal (Remote) Ascencio Legal is a fast-growing legal ed-tech brand creating short and long-form video content (Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) for law students and early-career lawyers. Think landmark Supreme Court judgments, legal history, and career content told in a sharp, story-first, binge-worthy format. We're looking for a Video Editor to join our content engine and turn around high-quality Reels/Shorts and videos fast.

If you love tight cuts, punchy pacing, and making educational content actually watchable, this is for you. ⏱️ The Non-Negotiable Turnaround time of 4–6 hours per clip, from raw footage to final export. If you thrive under quick TATs and don't let quality slip, we want to talk. What You'll Be Doing Editing videos featuring our content creators

Cutting fast-paced, retention-optimized Reels/Shorts and 5 to 10 minute videos ensuring top-notch sound design, pacing, hooks, captions, transitions etc.

Bringing your own creative ideas to the edit. Introducing transitions, formats, trends; not just following a template

Working with AI-generated footage/avatar content as part of our production pipeline

Collaborating closely with the founder and content team on a tight feedback loop What We're Looking For Proven experience editing short-form video (Reels/Shorts);





experience with legal, academic, or educational content is a strong plus

Comfortable working to strict, rapid turnaround times without compromising quality

Proactive and creative: someone who pitches ideas, not just executes briefs

Proficient in DaVinci Resolve (free), or has your own active subscription to your editing software of choice (Premiere Pro, CapCut Pro, etc.)

Reliable internet and a reliable remote setup Engagement Options (pick what fits you) Part-time: ~28 hrs/week

Full-time: ~48 hrs/week

Freelance/project-based: also open to discussion Selection: Candidates will be evaluated based on their portfolio. Shortlisted candidates will be given a small editing assignment (Instagram Reel).

Compensation: ₹15,000 to ₹30,000/month (based on quality and engagement type) + performance and milestone-based bonuses up to ₹1,00,000.
