Utkarsh Animal Hospital is committed to delivering compassionate and advanced veterinary care for companion animals. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Paravet – Operation Theatre (OT) to support our veterinary surgeons in providing exceptional surgical care for dogs and cats .

Key Responsibilities

- Assist veterinary surgeons during soft tissue, orthopedic, emergency, and other surgical procedures involving dogs and cats.
- Prepare and maintain the Operation Theatre by ensuring all surgical instruments, equipment, and consumables are sterilized and ready for use.
- Assist in pre-operative patient preparation, including clipping, cleaning, positioning, and anesthesia support.
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery under the supervision of the veterinary surgeon.
- Maintain OT hygiene, sterilization protocols, and infection control standards.
- Handle, clean, sterilize, and maintain surgical instruments and OT equipment.
- Assist with post-operative care, wound dressing, medication administration, and patient recovery.




- Maintain accurate OT records and ensure smooth coordination with veterinarians and the clinical team.
- Follow all hospital safety, quality, and animal welfare protocols.

Eligibility Criteria

- Mandatory: Diploma or Certificate in Veterinary Science, Veterinary Nursing, Veterinary Livestock Development Assistant (VLDA), Animal Husbandry, or an equivalent recognized veterinary qualification.
- Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Paravet with hands-on OT and surgical assistance experience.
- Mandatory experience assisting surgeries for small animals (Dogs & Cats) .
- Sound knowledge of OT protocols, sterilization techniques, anesthesia assistance, surgical instruments, and post-operative patient care.
- Good communication, teamwork, and animal-handling skills.

Preferred Candidate

- Candidates currently residing in Mumbai will be preferred.
- Immediate joiners will be given preference.
