Roles and Responsibilities

- Conduct water analysis for EDI/RO systems, including pH, EC, TDS, and other parameters.

- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as cleaning and replacing electrodes in Electrodeionization (EDI) units.

- Monitor WTP/WTP operations to ensure compliance with quality standards and optimize system performance.

- Troubleshoot issues related to RO plant operation and recommend corrective actions.

- Collaborate with team members to resolve technical queries and improve overall plant efficiency.

A. RO / Water Treatment System Operation

- Operate RO, DM/EDI/FDI and associated water treatment equipment.

- Monitor RO plant parameters such as pressure, flow, conductivity, TDS and pH.

- Monitor feed water and treated water quality.

- Carry out system start-up, shutdown and changeover activities as per SOP.

- Maintain continuous availability of treated water for production and utilities.

- Monitor water consumption and system recovery rate.

B. Maintenance

- Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of RO/FDI systems.

- Maintain pumps, motors, filters, membranes, valves, dosing systems and instruments.

- Monitor RO membrane performance and arrange cleaning/replacement when required.

- Troubleshoot low flow, high conductivity, pressure variation and other system abnormalities.





- Coordinate with maintenance/instrumentation teams for equipment breakdowns.

C.

Water Quality

Monitoring

- Monitor and record conductivity, TDS, pH, pressure, temperature and flow parameters.

- Ensure water quality meets the approved specifications.

- Coordinate with the Quality Control (QC) team for sampling and testing.

- Immediately report any water quality deviation to the concerned department.

- Support investigation of water-system-related deviations and CAPA.

D. GMP & Documentation

- Follow GMP, SOPs, safety procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

- Maintain daily operation and equipment logbooks.

- Maintain preventive maintenance records and checklists.

- Complete equipment usage and cleaning records accurately.

- Ensure proper documentation of system abnormalities, breakdowns and corrective actions.

- Support internal, customer and regulatory audits.

E.

Water System

Sanitation

- Carry out RO/FDI system sanitization as per approved SOP.

- Monitor storage tanks and water distribution loops.

- Ensure proper cleaning and sanitization of tanks, pipelines and associated equipment.

- Support periodic water-system qualification and validation activities.
