Position Consultant Ophthalmologist

Qualification

- MS Ophthalmology
- DNB Ophthalmology

Registration

- Valid MMC / State Medical Council Registration

Experience

- Experienced candidates preferred
- Candidates should be capable of independently managing comprehensive ophthalmology services

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct comprehensive Eye OPD consultations
- Diagnose and treat common ophthalmic disorders
- Perform cataract surgeries (Phaco/SICS) as per expertise
- Manage glaucoma, corneal, retinal, and anterior segment cases
- Handle ophthalmic emergencies and trauma cases
- Perform pre-operative evaluation and post-operative follow-up
- Interpret diagnostic investigations including OCT, Fundus Evaluation, Visual Field, and B-Scan as required
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation and ensure quality patient care
- Coordinate with OT staff and multidisciplinary teams





Skills Required

- Strong clinical and surgical skills in Ophthalmology
- Excellent diagnostic and decision-making abilities
- Good communication and patient counselling skills
- Skilled, ethical, and patient-centric approach
- Ability to work independently in a hospital setup
