1. Network Operation
The primary responsibility is to support reliable and effective use of complex IT network by end users, whether internal employees or external customers. Activities range from managing identities and provide IT network access to individual users.
1. Network security Administration
Security responsibilities are centered on Network Infrastructure and Network Security, Responsible for dependable access and availability to IT Network. Thus, required to troubleshoot and fix issues that compromise network performance or access to an IT service. This responsibility also involves regular network improvements, such as upgrades based on evolving end-user and business requirements.
with activities including:
Monitoring and maintaining network infrastructure, particularly emphasizing:
- In office network switches and RF devices, interactions between the software and the network.
- Network integrity and resilience.
- Testing networks for weaknesses or potential sites of compromise.
- Implementing security programs with hardware and software as per corporate guideline.
Adopting these responsibilities tend to work closely with security specialists and engineers within the organization as well as external consultants.
1. Network Project implementation and Maintenance.
- Plan and budget CAPEX for new projects in line with business goals.
- Evaluate and finalize vendors and technologies based on project needs.
- Coordinate with teams and vendors for smooth project execution.
- Review progress regularly and report to management.
- Monitor and maintain network equipment to ensure performance.
- Ensure timely renewal of AMCs to prevent disruptions.
- Maintain BCP for uninterrupted network availability.
- Monitor network health and identify anomalies, including security risks like unauthorized access and data transfers.
- Support IT Security by monitoring advanced solutions, including controlled Wi-Fi, Data Center CCTV, and RF devices, and report issues to the relevant team.
1. Backup & Disaster Recovery
Establish and maintain a regular procedure for backing up the configurations of all network equipment. This includes creating comprehensive backups on a scheduled basis to ensure that the most up-to-date configurations are preserved.
1. Documentation
Maintaining detailed records of network equipment and identifying critical assets in the HSD tool is essential. This includes documenting configurations and version changes in compliance with IT governance standards. Additionally, planning for future IT investments and upgrades involves documenting key elements such as:
- End-user requests
- Business requirements
- Network issues
This structured documentation ensures alignment with business needs and supports informed decision-making for IT upgrades and investments
