Role Summary A reputed CBSE residential school in Ramnagar, Uttarakhand , is seeking an experienced and dedicated Social Science and Political Science Teacher who can effectively handle classes from Grades VI to XII . The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching Social Science (Classes VI–X) and Political Science (Classes XI–XII) while ensuring excellent academic outcomes. Since the school follows a residential model, preference will be given to candidates who have previously worked in boarding schools and are comfortable conducting evening preparation classes when required.

Key Responsibilities

Academic Responsibilities

- Teach Social Science subjects to students of Classes VI to X.
- Teach Political Science to students of Classes XI and XII.
- Prepare lesson plans in accordance with CBSE guidelines and the National Education Policy (NEP).
- Conduct classroom assessments, assignments, tests, and examinations.
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage critical thinking, analytical abilities, and effective communication skills among students.

Classroom Management
- Create an engaging and student-centred learning environment.
- Maintain discipline and encourage active participation in classroom activities.




- Integrate technology and smart classroom tools into teaching methods.
- Organise educational activities, projects, debates, and presentations.

Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain student records, attendance reports, and assessment documentation.
- Participate in parent-teacher meetings, faculty meetings, and school events.
- Assist with hostel supervision and evening study sessions whenever required.

Qualifications
- Master's degree in Political Science, History, Geography, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) is mandatory.

Experience Requirements
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Previous experience in a CBSE residential or boarding school will be preferred.
- Experience in teaching both secondary and senior secondary classes will be an advantage.

- Strong command of Social Science and Political Science subjects.
- Proficiency in computer applications and smart classroom technologies.
