Role Summary We are seeking an experienced Teradata Developer & Data Lakehouse Application Support Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for both application development and L1/L2 production support within the Teradata Data Lakehouse ecosystem.

This role involves designing, developing, optimizing, monitoring, and supporting enterprise data pipelines, ETL/ELT processes, and analytical workloads while ensuring high availability, performance, and operational excellence.

The candidate should possess strong expertise in Teradata SQL, Teradata Vantage, ETL/ELT development, production support, performance tuning, incident management, and Data Lakehouse technologies .

Key Responsibilities 1. Teradata Development & Data Engineering

- Design, develop, and optimize Teradata SQL scripts, stored procedures, macros, and database objects.
- Build, maintain, and optimize ETL/ELT pipelines across Raw, Curated, and Semantic data layers.
- Develop scalable data integration solutions using Teradata Vantage.
- Perform SQL optimization, query tuning, indexing, and workload performance improvements.
- Develop reusable components and support enterprise data engineering best practices.
- Participate in application enhancements, code reviews, and technical design discussions.
- Support deployment activities, release validation, and post-production stabilization.

2. Production Support & Operations

- Provide L1/L2 application support for Teradata Data Lakehouse environments.
- Monitor ETL jobs, workloads, pipelines, and system health using Teradata Viewpoint.
- Perform daily operational health checks and publish status reports.
- Monitor query performance, resource utilization, and workload execution.




- Ensure successful execution of batch jobs and end-to-end data processing.

3. Incident & Problem Management

- Act as the primary point of contact for production incidents.
- Troubleshoot ETL failures, query performance issues, and application errors.
- Perform job reruns, recovery activities, and SLA-based service restoration.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams for issue resolution.
- Maintain incident documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

4. Data Movement & Integration

- Support Teradata Data Mover for data replication, migration, and environment refresh activities.
- Monitor and troubleshoot Data Mover job failures.
- Manage QueryGrid connectivity between Teradata and external platforms.
- Ensure seamless data synchronization across multiple environments.

5. Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

- Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities.
- Monitor Disaster Recovery (DR) synchronization and failover readiness.
- Participate in DR drills and recovery testing.
- Perform backup and restore operations using DSU.
- Validate recovery procedures and ensure business continuity compliance.

6. Analytics, Governance & Documentation

- Support ClearScape Analytics workloads and advanced analytical processing.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance standards.
- Support metadata management, data lineage, and audit requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, operational runbooks, and knowledge base articles.
- Follow organizational security and compliance standards.

7. Release & Change Management

- Support application deployments, release management, and production cutovers.
- Execute deployment validation and smoke testing.
- Participate in change management activities.
- Adhere to ITIL best practices for Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.
