Job Summary We are looking for an experienced Teradata Developer & Data Lakehouse Application Support Engineer with 5 8 years of hands-on experience in Teradata development, SQL optimization, ETL/ELT, and production support . The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Teradata Vantage, Viewpoint, Data Mover, QueryGrid, BCM, DSU, and ClearScape Analytics along with experience supporting enterprise Data Lakehouse environments.

The role involves developing high-performance data solutions, monitoring production workloads, troubleshooting incidents, supporting business continuity activities, and ensuring reliable data delivery across enterprise analytics platforms.

Key Responsibilities 1. Teradata Development & Data Engineering

- Design, develop, and optimize complex Teradata SQL, Stored Procedures, Views, Macros, and Scripts.
- Develop and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines across Raw, Curated, and Semantic data layers.
- Perform SQL performance tuning, query optimization, indexing, and workload management.
- Support data integration between Teradata Vantage, external systems, cloud platforms, and BI applications.
- Participate in release deployment, code migration, validation, and post-production stabilization.

2. Production Support & Monitoring

- Monitor production jobs, ETL workflows, and database health using Teradata Viewpoint.
- Perform daily health checks and proactively identify system issues.
- Monitor workload performance, query execution, storage utilization, and operational alerts.
- Publish operational reports and ensure platform availability.

3. Incident & Problem Management





- Provide L1/L2 production support for Teradata applications and Data Lakehouse environments.
- Troubleshoot failed ETL jobs, long-running SQL queries, data discrepancies, and application issues.
- Perform job reruns, recovery activities, and SLA-based incident resolution.
- Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and implement permanent fixes for recurring issues.
- Coordinate with development, infrastructure, and business teams during production incidents.

4. Data Movement & Integration

- Support Teradata Data Mover for database migration, replication, refresh, and synchronization activities.
- Manage and troubleshoot QueryGrid connectivity across heterogeneous data platforms.
- Support cross-platform data movement and integration activities.

5. Business Continuity & Disaster Recovery

- Support Business Continuity Management (BCM) activities.
- Monitor Disaster Recovery synchronization and failover readiness.
- Perform backup and recovery validation using DSU.
- Participate in DR drills, failover testing, and recovery exercises.

6. Analytics & Governance

- Support ClearScape Analytics workloads and advanced analytical processing.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise data governance, audit, and security standards.
- Maintain technical documentation, SOPs, operational runbooks, and knowledge articles.

7. Release & Change Management

- Support application deployments, production releases, and change implementation.




- Perform smoke testing and post-deployment validation.
- Follow ITIL best practices for Incident, Problem, Change, and Release Management.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with CMIC, SWS, and Teradata IntelliFlex.
- Knowledge of cloud data platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with Shell Scripting or Python for automation.
- Familiarity with BI and Analytics platforms.
- Exposure to DevOps and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience in Data Governance and Metadata Management.
- Knowledge of Backup, Recovery, and Disaster Recovery strategies.
