Job Title: Steel Detailing Checker (Tekla)

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Steel Detailing Checker with robust expertise in Tekla Structures , structural steel detailing, and model checking. The ideal candidate will be responsible for reviewing and verifying Tekla models and fabrication drawings to ensure compliance with

AISC standards , project specifications, and quality requirements. The role requires close coordination with detailing teams, engineers, and project managers to deliver accurate, high-quality structural steel detailing outputs.

Key Responsibilities

- Review and verify Tekla models and fabrication drawings for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with AISC standards .
- Ensure all drawings and models meet project specifications, constructability requirements, and connection detailing standards.
- Identify errors, inconsistencies, clashes, and non-conformities, and provide clear feedback to detailing and modeling teams.
- Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and detailing teams to ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
- Ensure quality and timely delivery of checked drawings and models.
- Adhere to company quality standards, client-specific procedures, and checking protocols.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance detailing quality and checking efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with relevant safety and quality standards, including OSHA requirements where applicable.

Eligibility Criteria Educational Qualification

- Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering .

Experience

- Overall experience: 7–15 years
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Steel Detailing Checking .

Skills & Competencies

- Solid domain knowledge in structural steel detailing and checking.
- Excellent hands-on experience with Tekla Structures and related detailing software.
- Thorough understanding of AISC codes , fabrication standards, and structural steel practices.
- Good communication skills in English and the local language.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet project deadlines.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Extensive experience in structural steel detailing projects for industrial, commercial, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong understanding of fabrication drawings, erection drawings, and connection detailing.
- Ability to mentor detailing teams and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Experience working in a fast-paced engineering environment with multiple stakeholders.
