/ Responsibilities
1. Sustainability Governance & Coordination
- Support in the planning and operation of the Sustainability Office.
- Coordination with Green office and Institute sustainability committees for implementation of
campus-wide sustainability initiatives across academic, non-academic, administrative, and external stakeholders.
1. Planning & Project Execution
- Plan, develop, and implement sustainability projects related to energy, water, waste, biodiversity,
green buildings, transportation, climate action, and circular economy.
- Prepare technical proposals, DPRs, specifications, budgets, and oversee project execution.
1. Monitoring, Reporting & Compliance
- Lead sustainability audits, data management, performance monitoring, and preparation of
sustainability reports, carbon inventories, and environmental dashboards. llll
- Coordination with relevant section of institutes for institutional sustainability rankings,
certifications, policy implementation, and statutory compliance.
1. Stakeholder Engagement
- Build partnerships with faculty, students, government agencies, industries, and funding
organizations.
- Organize awareness programmes, training, workshops, and outreach activities to strengthen
sustainability culture across the Institute. Essential Qualification & Experience

B.Tech./B.E./M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Environmental Engineering / Agricultural Engineering /
Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Electrical Engineering / Chemical Engineering /
Renewable Energy / Environmental Science / Sustainability,
or a related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or an equivalent grade point average., along with minimum of six (6) years of professional, hands-on experience in technology project execution/renewable energy deployment/institutional sustainability operations out of which three years should be at Level 7
(44900-142400) or one year should be at Level 8 (47600-151100) or equivalent.
OR
M.Tech./M.E. or equivalent postgraduate degree in Renewable Energy / Environmental Engineering / Environmental Science / Energy Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Civil Engineering / Chemical Engineering / Sustainability, or a related discipline with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent CGPA, along with four (4) years of relevant qualified experience in green technologies / waste management / sustainability project management. (For applicants with Ph.D. degree in relevant discipline, duration of Ph.D. up to three years will be counted towards experience).
Desirable experience includes
- Sustainability planning, implementation, and institutional sustainability reporting.
- Management of renewable energy systems, resource efficiency, circular economy, carbon
accounting, biodiversity, and climate action projects.
- Experience in pilot demonstration, techno-economic analysis, sustainability rankings and
certifications, research, innovation, patents, or publications.
- Experience in project management, stakeholder engagement, budgeting, procurement, and
multidisciplinary team coordination. The date of closing of online application interface is 04.09.2026
Compensation range
Pay: Pay Level 10 (Rs 56100 - Rs 177500)
(Gross Pay includes Basic Pay + Dearness allowance + House Rent Allowance + Transport
Allowance + Dearness allowance on Transport allowance)
