Role & responsibilities
- Monitor application and infrastructure health, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production incidents within defined SLAs.
- Automate operational tasks using scripting and Infrastructure as Code tools.
- Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures.
- Manage system upgrades, patching, backups, and disaster recovery activities.
- Ensure compliance with security standards and operational best practices.
- Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and operational runbooks.
- Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment processes and system reliability.
- Strong understanding of OSS/BSS architecture, components, and technologies ( provisioning, billing, CRM, Order Manager).
Preferred candidate profile
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix administration.
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong scripting skills in Shell, Python, or PowerShell.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or Azure DevOps.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk, or Dynatrace.
- Positive understanding of networking concepts, DNS, Load Balancers, Firewalls, and SSL/TLS.
- Knowledge of incident management, change management, and ITIL processes is preferred.
- Knowledge of security best practices and vulnerability management.
