Role Description The Technical Lead at Petos will oversee the design, development, and deployment of scalable technology solutions that power the company’s pet insurance and wellness platform. This full-time, in office role based in Noida involves leading engineering teams, setting technical direction, and ensuring best practices in architecture, coding standards, and system reliability.
The Technical
Lead will collaborate closely with product, design, and operations teams to translate business requirements into robust technical deliverables, review and improve code, and guide the implementation of new features and integrations. Day-to-day responsibilities include mentoring engineers, conducting technical reviews, managing project timelines, resolving complex technical issues, and optimizing performance, security, and maintainability of the platform.
The role also requires active participation in strategic technology planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
Strong experience in software architecture and design, including building scalable, secure, and high-availability systems.
Proficiency in at least one modern programming language (such as Java, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript) and familiarity with common frameworks.
Hands-on expertise with web application development, APIs, microservices, and integration with third-party services.
Experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL), data modeling, and performance optimization.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), containerization, and CI/CD pipelines.
Proven ability to lead and mentor engineering teams, conduct code reviews, and establish development best practices.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on reliability and user experience.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and explain technical concepts to non-technical partners.
Experience in product-based or platform-focused organizations; exposure to insurtech or healthtech is an advantage.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
