We're looking for a hands-on Technical Lead / Manager to drive the architecture, delivery, and technical direction of our full-stack platform. You'll lead a team of engineers building scalable, production-grade systems using Node.js, MongoDB, and AWS , while also owning the roadmap for integrating AI capabilities , microservices architecture , and modern engineering practices across the stack.

This is a role for someone who can code, review architecture, mentor a team, and still speak fluently with product and leadership about trade-offs, timelines, and technical risk.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Leadership

- Own the technical architecture and design decisions for a scalable, multi-tenant SaaS/CRM platform
- Drive migration/evolution from monolith to microservices where it makes sense — no resume-driven architecture
- Set and enforce engineering standards: code quality, testing, CI/CD, security, observability
- Evaluate and integrate AI/LLM capabilities (e.g., Claude, GPT-based APIs, RAG pipelines, embeddings) into product features where they add real user value
- Make build-vs-buy and tech-stack decisions with a clear view of long-term maintainability

People & Delivery Management

- Lead, mentor, and grow a team of full-stack engineers (sizing: [X engineers])
- Run sprint planning, code reviews, and technical 1:1s; balance hands-on coding with people management
- Partner with Product/Design to translate business requirements into technical execution plans
- Own delivery timelines, identify risks early, and communicate trade-offs clearly to stakeholders
- Conduct hiring, onboarding, and performance reviews for the engineering team

Solution Design & Architecture

- Lead end-to-end solution design for new features and platform capabilities — from requirement gathering through architecture,



HLD/LLD documentation, and technical sign-off
- Translate ambiguous business/product requirements into clear technical specifications, data models, and system diagrams
- Own High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) artifacts: system architecture diagrams, sequence diagrams, API contracts, data flow, and integration points
- Evaluate multiple solution approaches against trade-offs — cost, scalability, time-to-market, maintainability, security — and present recommendations to stakeholders
- Define non-functional requirements (NFRs) upfront: performance SLAs, availability targets, security/compliance needs, data retention
- Design for scalability and extensibility from day one — capacity planning, horizontal scaling strategy, multi-tenancy considerations
- Conduct design reviews and architecture decision records (ADRs) to ensure consistency and knowledge-sharing across the team
- Own integration design for third-party systems, AI/LLM services, and internal microservices (API contracts, versioning, backward compatibility)
- Partner with Product, QA, DevOps, and Security teams during solutioning to surface risks and dependencies early

Hands-On Engineering

- Design and build backend services using Node.js / Express , with MongoDB as the primary data store
- Architect and deploy scalable systems on AWS (EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS, CloudFront, API Gateway)




- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated testing and zero-downtime deployments
- Design RESTful/GraphQL APIs and event-driven microservices (Kafka/SQS/SNS)
- Ensure system reliability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and incident response practices
- Own platform scalability, performance tuning, and cost optimization on cloud infrastructure

Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of full-stack software development experience, with 5 + years in a technical leadership or management role
- Strong expertise in Node.js , Express.js , and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
- Deep hands-on experience with MongoDB — schema design, indexing, aggregation pipelines, performance tuning
- Proven experience designing and running microservices architectures at scale
- Strong command of AWS services (compute, storage, networking, serverless)
- Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS)
- Practical experience integrating AI/ML or LLM-based features into production applications
- Solid understanding of frontend frameworks (React preferred) and how backend architecture supports frontend performance
- Experience building or scaling a CRM, SaaS, or customer-facing platform handling real production traffic
- Solid grasp of system design fundamentals: caching, load balancing, database scaling, fault tolerance
- Demonstrated experience owning solution design end-to-end — HLD/LLD, architecture diagrams, ADRs, and design reviews for production systems
- Comfortable presenting and defending design decisions to technical and non-technical stakeholders (product, leadership, clients)
- Excellent communication skills — able to translate technical complexity for non-technical stakeholders
