Responsibilities

- Architecture and Systems Design: Design and own scalable, low-latency backend services from the ground up for various financial instruments. Make deliberate tradeoffs between performance, reliability, and speed of delivery.

- Technical Leadership: Set engineering standards, conduct design reviews, and raise the technical bar across the team in code, architecture, and process.
- Execution: Drive projects end-to-end with a bias for speed. Run rapid experiments with product and design, then scale what works.
- Firm-wide Impact: Identify and fix systemic bottlenecks. Think beyond your team.

Requirements

- Strong programming expertise in Golang and databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience in building scalable, user-focused fintech platforms focused on investments, trading, wealth management, or market analytics would be a plus.
- Strong knowledge of databases, including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or MongoDB.
- Experience in building scalable customer-facing applications that are high-performance, highly available, highly transactional, low latency, and massively distributed.
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, and designing for performance, scalability, and availability.
- Experience in designing and developing service-orientated architecture.

Experience with cache-store/message brokers like Redis,



RabbitMQ, or Kafka.

- Understanding of GCP, Kubernetes, and Docker is beneficial. Interest in learning new languages/frameworks as needed.
