We are looking for a seasoned Tech Lead who combines deep SaaS platform engineering experience with hands-on, production-grade AI agent development. You will own the architecture and delivery of AI-powered systems that drive digital transformation (DX) for Japanese enterprises across diverse industries - acting as the technical and strategic bridge between Japan headquarters and the India GCC.

You bring at least 8 years of SaaS/Fullstack engineering and 3+ years of production AI/LLM experience. Zoho is a key integration target in our ecosystem, but deep Zoho expertise is not required at entry. We value cloud-native AI engineering, reliable integration design, and the ability to lead a team from concept to production.

Key Responsibilities

AI Architecture & Delivery

- Design agent workflows - tool calling, multi-step reasoning, routing, and guardrails

- Build RAG pipelines covering embedding, retrieval, re-ranking, and evaluation loops

- Define "production quality" standards for AI outputs - fallback handling, human-in-the-loop, and safety rules

DX Leadership & Japan HQ Collaboration
- Coordinate with Japan HQ departments to identify business challenges and translate them into AI and SaaS system requirements

- Translate Funai Consulting India methodologies into scalable, AI-powered digital systems

- Propose and present AI and SaaS platform solutions to Japan headquarters for review and adoption

- Conduct architecture reviews and technical support across all internal development projects

Engineering & Operations




- Build backend services and APIs and integrate with business systems (Zoho, GCP, etc.)

- Own reliability patterns: retries, idempotency, structured logging, and re-run design

- Implement monitoring and alerting across quality, latency, error rate, and cost dimensions

Tech Leadership & Team Management
- Lead design reviews and code reviews; create reusable templates and standards

- Assign engineers across development projects; monitor progress and deliverables

- Mentor engineers and help the team ship consistently and with quality

- Manage technical communication with overseas vendors and Zoho partners

Must-Have Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of total engineering experience, combining SaaS platform and backend development

- 8+ years of hands-on SaaS/backend engineering (Python, Node.js, or Java)

- 5+ years of hands-on Experience on FrontEnd Framework(React/Vue/Angular)

- 3+ years of production AI/LLM experience - shipped a real product (not PoC-only) using Gemini, Claude, or OpenAI

- Production experience on GCP or AWS - deployment, monitoring/logging, and IAM basics

- Reliability fundamentals: retries, idempotency, structured logging

- Practical RAG knowledge - embedding, retrieval,



and evaluation; experience with a vector DB is a plus

- Experience with AI tool integration - connecting LLMs or AI agents to business systems and workflows

- Team leadership experience - leading a team of 3–5 engineers end-to-end

Preferred Skills

- Japanese communication ability at JLPT N2 or equivalent - ability to discuss and define requirements directly with Japan HQ department heads is a strong advantage

- Experience working in or closely with a Japanese corporate setting - familiarity with Japanese business culture, communication style (Hou-Ren-So), consensus-driven decision-making, and cross-cultural collaboration

- Experience building or integrating MCP (Model Context Protocol) servers to connect agents to Zoho, Google Workspace, or other business tools

- Understanding of RAG grounding strategies for proprietary knowledge bases

Nice-to-Have Skills

Zoho / Business Systems

- Experience integrating with Zoho CRM, Creator, or Books via REST APIs and webhooks

- Hands on with widget or portal integration experience, Deluge scripting

Cloud & Platform
- AWS or Azure cloud platform experience alongside GCP

- LangGraph, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or Semantic Kernel

- Queue/DLQ patterns - Pub/Sub, SQS, or Kafka

- Java experience in enterprise SaaS integrations

Security & Governance
- Secrets management (Secret Manager / Vault)

- PII handling, audit logging, and role/permission design

- OAuth/OIDC and SSO concepts (Okta/Entra ID)
