Role Description The Team Lead – Automation & Controls is a full-time, in office role based in Ahmedabad, responsible for leading automation and control system projects from concept to commissioning. The role involves overseeing the design, programming, testing, and implementation of industrial automation solutions, including PLCs, SCADA, and control panels, ensuring compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

The Team

Lead will guide and mentor a team of engineers and technicians, allocate tasks, review technical work, and support problem resolution during design, installation, and commissioning phases.



Daily responsibilities include coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders, preparing technical documentation, managing project timelines, and ensuring quality, safety, and reliability of delivered solutions. The role also includes continuous improvement activities, evaluating new technologies, and supporting pre-sales or technical proposals as needed.

Qualifications

Strong experience in industrial automation and control systems, including PLC, HMI, SCADA, and drive integration.

Proficiency in electrical and instrumentation control panel design, wiring practices, and relevant standards.

Demonstrated ability to lead technical teams, delegate tasks, mentor team members, and manage project execution.

Experience with system integration, commissioning, troubleshooting, and on-site support for industrial projects.

Solid understanding of industrial communication protocols and networking concepts (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus).

Experience working with or integrating Rockwell Automation solutions is highly beneficial.

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with attention to quality and safety.

Effective communication and stakeholder management skills, including client interaction and documentation.

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Electronics, or related engineering field; advanced certifications in automation are a plus.

Ability to work on-site in Ahmedabad and occasionally travel to customer locations as required.
