Last week, some of our Wave members, who were selected by the management team as being the next generation of managers, finished their Aspiring Managers training course. This was a series of 4 training sessions delivered over a 6-month period to provide them with the necessary insights, skills, knowledge and to increase their self-awareness and confidence as they embark on the next steps to becoming a manager.
The 4 Training Sessions Were Broken Down Into
- Defining the manager you want to become
- The performance management journey and engaging your team
- Communication excellence
- Coaching and development
Our existing line managers have all been through a training programme covering leadership and management skills.
We decided to add this additional training course for our aspiring managers before they are given the responsibility to line manage other team members. We plan to run this programme again for our next cohort of future line managers.
