Role & responsibilities
- Working towards current product development at supplier (Fabrication, Forging, machining, Sheet metal, Injection molding, casting, rubber, sub-assembly and other standard BOPs) using APQP FAI, and PPAP, resulting in 100% RFT (Right First Time).
- Ensuring localization of parts as per the PLR systems Quality requirements.
- Supplier assessment and understanding of the audit process including types of audits, planning, preparation, execution, reporting results, and follow-up. Devising the supplier development strategy, designing the metrics for supplier performance.
- Supporting the SCM functions through supplier approval process by assessing the manufacturing technology
- Participating in the new product launches through FAI/PPAP approval. Checking the suppliers manufacturing processes; collaborate with them for process improvement and technology upgradation.
- Practical knowledge of handing of non-conformance products.
Proficient in implementation of techniques like Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) techniques, 7QC Tools, PPAP, SPC, Poka-Yoke, Kaizen, PFMEA, etc.
- Change implementation at supplier end in coordination with Engineering function
- Strong knowledge about Quality standards & Quality management system
- Functional knowledge of Quality instruments/equipments i.e coordinate measuring machine, Magnetic practical inspection, Video measuring machine, hardness testing, contour tracer etc
- Understanding of weapon assembly, chemical and mechanical testing of raw materials is advantage

- BE /Diploma in Mechanical
Relevant EXPERIENCE:
Must
- Minimum of 7-9 years related experience
- Good written and verbal communication skills

- Working Experience in Defence Sector
