We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our Academic Services team at ARU London (ARU-L). The role is to help us deliver the Team Around the ARU-L Student spheres of integration student retention model by providing advice and support to students on a wide range of issues which affect their experience at the university, and to signpost them to relevant support teams (e.g.
Student
Wellbeing, Disability and Inclusion, Finance, Employability and Students’ Union) when necessary.
The Student Success Officer will therefore play a vital role in supporting the smooth operation of the Academic Services department at ARU-L.
This position is tailored for graduates with a 2:2 degree or higher and transferable skills, particularly those seeking a professional role in academic administration and student services. The role offers an prospect to develop expertise in university administration, compliance and student engagement while contributing to the effective management of academic processes.
The successful candidate will ideally have experience of delivering support and guidance to students. However, the ability to treat people with kindness and compassion while working in a fast-paced environment is essential.
The Principal Responsibilities Are As Follows
- Act as the first point of contact for student academic enquiries, offering guidance on university regulations, course requirements and available student services.
- Provide timely and appropriate support and advice for students.
- Collaborate with the Director of Studies to manage key academic documentation such as timetables, progress reports and official communications.
- Contribute to and be part of the ARU-L team.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, UK higher education regulations and internal quality standards in all academic processes.
- Oversee the accuracy and confidentiality of student data, ensuring adherence to data protection laws.
- Prepare reports on student enrolment, retention, progression and graduation, providing data-driven insights for decision-making within the department.
