Field-based role involving regular visits to Government Schools in rural and semi-urban areas.

About the Project

Ollato is implementing a short-term Government School Student Development Project across various districts of Maharashtra. The project focuses on supporting students through career guidance, psychometric assessment, counselling, mental health awareness, and capacity-building interventions.

The selected professionals will work directly with Government Schools, students, teachers, and other relevant stakeholders.

Position

Project Counsellor / Field Psychologist

Key Responsibilities

1. School & Field Visits

- Visit assigned Government Schools regularly as per the project schedule.
- Conduct field visits across rural and semi-urban locations.
- Coordinate with school authorities, teachers, and designated project personnel.
- Ensure smooth implementation of project activities at the school level.
- Maintain professional communication and documentation during school visits.

2. Psychometric Assessment

- Administer psychometric assessments to students as per prescribed project protocols.
- Explain the purpose and process of assessments to students in an age-appropriate manner.
- Assist students in understanding their assessment results.
- Maintain confidentiality and ensure ethical handling of student information.
- Support digital/online or offline assessment administration, wherever required.

3. Student Capacity-Building Workshops

- Conduct student workshops on:
- Career Awareness & Career Planning
- Understanding Self, Interests & Abilities
- Study Skills & Learning Strategies
- Mental Health & Emotional Well-being
- Stress Management
- Decision-Making & Goal Setting
- Future Skills and Career Readiness
- Facilitate interactive activities, discussions, exercises, and group sessions.
- Deliver sessions effectively in Marathi, wherever required.

4. Career Guidance & Counselling

- Provide individual and/or group career guidance to students.
- Help students understand their interests, aptitude, personality, strengths,



and career options.
- Assist students in making informed academic and career choices.
- Provide age-appropriate guidance regarding streams, courses, careers, and future opportunities.
- Refer students to appropriate professional services wherever required.

5. Mental Health Counselling & Support

- Provide basic psychological counselling and emotional support within the scope of the project.
- Identify students who may require additional psychological or mental health support.
- Conduct appropriate screening/referral processes as per project guidelines.
- Promote mental health awareness and help-seeking behaviour among students.
- Maintain strict confidentiality and follow professional and ethical standards.

6. Documentation & Reporting

- Maintain daily records of school visits and activities conducted.
- Complete assessment, counselling, workshop, and student-interaction documentation.
- Submit regular field reports to the Project Coordinator/Manager.
- Maintain accurate records of students reached, sessions conducted, assessments completed, and referrals made.
- Support project-level data collection and monitoring.

Minimum Qualification Master's Degree in any of the following:

- Psychology
- Social Work
- Education
- Counselling Psychology / Applied Psychology or related discipline

Marathi Language – Mandatory

- Excellent spoken Marathi is essential.
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and school authorities in Marathi.

Field Work & Travelling

- Candidate must be comfortable travelling regularly to Government Schools.
- Willingness to work in rural and semi-urban areas is mandatory.
- Candidates should preferably be local to the assigned district/region.

Student Interaction





- Strong ability to communicate and engage with school-going students.
- Comfortable conducting individual and group interactions.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills

- Prior experience in school counselling, career counselling, psychology, psychometric assessment, or student development programmes.
- Experience working with Government Schools or Government projects will be an advantage.
- Experience conducting workshops/training sessions for students.
- Knowledge of career assessment and career guidance.
- Basic understanding of adolescent mental health and psychosocial concerns.
- Good presentation and facilitation skills.
- Ability to work independently in field settings.
- Valuable documentation and reporting skills.
- Basic computer/digital literacy.
- Ability to manage multiple schools and activities according to the project schedule.

Candidate Profile The ideal candidate should be:

- Marathi-speaking and locally available in the assigned district/region.
- Comfortable with extensive field travel.
- Comfortable working with students from diverse socio-economic backgrounds.
- Patient, empathetic, approachable, and culturally sensitive.
- Confident in conducting workshops and counselling sessions.
- Responsible with confidential student information.
- Adaptable to rural and semi-urban school environments.
- Able to work according to a structured project schedule and reporting system.

Important Note

This is a 3-month project-specific engagement and is not a permanent position with Ollato. Candidates must be willing to undertake regular field visits and work in Government Schools located in rural and semi-urban areas.

Only candidates who are comfortable with field travel and can communicate fluently in Marathi should apply.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
