Designation: Store Executive / Store Officer / Store In-charge
Reporting To: Stores Manager / Plant Head
Job Purpose To manage the day-to-day operations of the Stores Department, including receipt, inspection, storage, issue and inventory control of raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, spare parts and other materials required for smooth manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities1. Material Receiving & Inward
- Receive raw materials, packaging materials, consumables, chemicals, spare parts and other materials from suppliers.
- Verify materials against Purchase Orders (PO), invoices and delivery challans.
- Check quantity, item description, batch/lot number and physical condition of received materials.
- Coordinate with QC for material inspection wherever required.
- Prepare and maintain Material Receipt / Goods Receipt entries in the system.
2. Storage & Material Management
- Ensure proper identification, tagging, coding and systematic storage of all materials.
- Maintain proper bin/location-wise arrangement of stock.
- Ensure FIFO/FEFO practices wherever applicable.
- Maintain proper storage conditions for films, inks, solvents, adhesives, chemicals, spare parts and other materials.
- Ensure proper housekeeping, cleanliness and safety within the Stores area.
3. Material Issue
- Issue materials to Production, Printing, Slitting, Pouching, Dispatch, Maintenance and other departments against authorized material requisitions.
- Verify material codes, quantities and specifications before issuing.
- Maintain proper records of all material issues and returns.
- Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production delays.
4. Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate stock records in ERP/software and physical records.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels.
- Identify shortage, excess, slow-moving, non-moving and obsolete inventory.
- Conduct regular physical stock verification and reconciliation with system stock.
- Report stock discrepancies to the Stores Manager / concerned department.
- Support monthly, quarterly and annual stock audits.
5. Coordination with Other Departments
- Coordinate with Purchase Department for pending and upcoming material requirements.
- Coordinate with PPC and Production for material availability as per production plans.
- Coordinate with QC for inspection, approval and rejection of incoming materials.
- Coordinate with Maintenance for spare parts and engineering consumables.
- Coordinate with Accounts regarding GRN, invoices and material-related documentation.
6. Documentation & MIS
- Maintain GRN, issue slips, material requisitions, stock registers and return documents.
- Maintain daily inward and outward material records.
- Prepare stock and inventory reports as required by management.
- Maintain proper documentation for rejected, returned and damaged materials.
- Ensure all transactions are updated accurately and on time in the ERP/system.
7. Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company safety procedures and Stores Department SOPs.
- Ensure safe handling and storage of chemicals, solvents and other hazardous materials.
- Ensure proper use of PPE while handling materials.
- Maintain clear aisles and safe working conditions in the warehouse.
- Immediately report damaged,
unsafe or leaking materials to the concerned authority.

Qualification
- Graduate / Diploma / B.Com preferred.
- Knowledge of inventory management and store operations.
- Computer knowledge and proficiency in MS Excel.
- ERP / SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.
Experience
- Store Executive: 1–3 years of relevant experience.
- Store Officer / Store In-charge: 3–7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in flexible packaging / plastic / printing / manufacturing industry will be preferred.
