The Store Manager in a Jari Production Unit is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the raw material and finished goods stores, ensuring efficient inventory management, procurement, storage, and timely issuance of materials to production. The role involves maintaining accurate stock records, coordinating with production and purchase teams, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Inventory Management:
- Maintain accurate stock of raw materials (e.g., metallic yarns, dyes, chemicals), consumables, and finished Jari products.
- Conduct regular stock audits and reconciliations.
- Implement FIFO/LIFO inventory methods as required.

- Procurement Coordination:
- Collaborate with the purchase department to ensure timely availability of raw materials.
- Monitor stock levels and prepare Material Requirement Plans (MRPs).

- Material Handling:
- Ensure proper storage conditions for different types of materials.
- Supervise loading/unloading, stacking, and labeling activities.
- Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain inward/outward registers, gate passes, and issue slips.




- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock reports.
- Ensure accurate data entry in ERP or inventory management software.

- Team Supervision:
- Lead and train store staff in inventory best practices and safety protocols.
- Assign tasks and monitor performance.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and company policies.
- Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in the store area.
- Inter-department Coordination:
- Work closely with the production, quality control, and accounts teams.
- Ensure timely supply of materials to avoid production delays

Qualifications & Skills:

- 3+ years of experience in storekeeping or inventory management, preferably in a textile or manufacturing setup.
- Proficient in MS Office and inventory software (e.g., Tally, ERP).
- Solid organizational and leadership skills.
- Good communication and coordination abilities.
- Knowledge of textile raw materials, especially Jari, is an advantage
