Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced Standard Cell Characterization Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will define and execute methodologies for characterizing standard cells in advanced process nodes. You ll contribute to high-quality library development supporting digital, analog, and mixed-signal design flows. Immediate joiners or candidates with up to a 1-month notice period are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

1. Characterize standard cells to ensure optimal timing, power, and noise performance
2. Define and implement cell characterization methodologies for advanced technology nodes
3. Generate Liberty views (NLDM, CCS, ECSM) for integration into design and PnR flows
4. Develop and apply QA methodologies for library validation
5. Debug library and design issues to ensure consistent, high-quality deliverables
6. Automate workflows using scripting languages such as Perl and Python

Qualifications

Education:

1.



Bachelor s or Master s degree in Electronics or a related field

Experience:

1. Minimum 4+ years of experience in standard cell characterization
2. Strong understanding of Liberty formats (NLDM, CCS, ECSM)
3. Proficient with SPICE simulation tools (HSPICE, FineSim, etc.)
4. Knowledge of timing, power, EMIR, and statistical variation analysis (LVF)
5. Hands-on experience with Perl and/or Python scripting
6. Background in custom design and high self-motivation are valued, even with limited standard cell exposure
7. Familiarity with advanced process nodes (16nm, 7nm, 5nm)
8. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues
9. Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks
10. Standard cell modeling, including timing (NLDM, CCS-T/N), power (NLPM, CCS-P), and noise (CCSN)
