STAFF NURSE-Ward

Main Objective of the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

- Deliver secure, professional, and patient-centered nursing care in accordance with clinical standards and hospital policies.
- Perform nursing assessments, prepare individualized care plans, monitor vital signs, and maintain accurate documentation.
- Implement doctors’ orders, administer medications safely, and monitor for adverse reactions.
- Assist doctors during rounds, procedures, examinations, dressings, and emergency situations.
- Coordinate investigations, blood transfusions, admissions, transfers, discharges, and interdepartmental services.
- Provide antenatal, postnatal, newborn care, breastfeeding support, and patient/family education.
- Prepare patients for labor,



delivery, surgery, and postoperative care; assist in managing obstetric and gynecological emergencies.
- Monitor maternal and fetal well-being, including CTG monitoring and newborn assessments.
- Maintain infection control practices, patient safety, confidentiality, and compliance with NABH/NE standards.
- Manage ward supplies, inventory, handovers, quality indicators, and resource utilization.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams including LDR, OT, NICU, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Billing, and Support Services.
- Participate in training programs and stay updated with current nursing practices and protocols.
