Position: Senior Warden Girls Hostel (Female Candidates Only)

Department: Hostel Administration

Job Purpose To ensure the smooth functioning, safety, discipline, and welfare of girl students residing in the hostel by managing day-to-day hostel operations, supervising hostel staff, maintaining statutory compliance, and fostering a safe, healthy, and supportive living environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. Oversee the overall administration and day-to-day operations of the Girls Hostel, ensuring a safe, secure, disciplined, and student-friendly environment.
2. Reside in the Girls Hostel and be available to handle emergencies, student welfare, and crisis situations as required.
3. Supervise Assistant Wardens, housekeeping, security, hostel attendants, and other support staff to ensure productive hostel operations.
4. Manage hostel administration, including room allotments, occupancy records, attendance, leave permissions, visitor registers, and related documentation.
5. Address student grievances, provide counselling where appropriate, and coordinate with parents/guardians and management on student welfare and disciplinary matters.
6. Ensure cleanliness, hygiene, sanitation, maintenance of hostel facilities, and quality food services in coordination with the catering/mess team.
7. Conduct regular inspections of hostel rooms, common areas, dining facilities, and ensure compliance with hostel rules, anti-ragging regulations, women's safety guidelines, and statutory requirements.
8. Coordinate with maintenance, transport, medical, security,



and other departments for the smooth functioning of hostel operations.
9. Prepare periodic reports on hostel administration, occupancy, maintenance, student welfare, and organize student awareness programmes on health, safety, discipline, and personal development.
10. Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university.
- Preference will be given to candidates with a Postgraduate Degree or experience in hostel/institutional administration.

Experience

- 5 to 10 years of experience in hostel administration, educational institutions, residential schools, colleges, universities, or similar establishments.
- Experience in managing Girls Hostel operations will be preferred.

Employment Requirements

- Residential position: The Senior Warden must reside in the Girls Hostel.
- Accommodation and food will be provided by the Institute.
- Willingness to work beyond normal working hours and remain available during emergencies.
