Role Description The Sr Merchant role at GOGO FASHIONS PRIVATE LIMITED is a full-time, on-site position based in New Delhi.

The Sr

Merchant will manage the product lifecycle from concept to shipment, including market research, trend analysis, and development of seasonal assortments aligned with brand and customer expectations. This role involves coordinating with design, sampling, production, and quality teams to ensure accurate specifications, timely approvals, and cost-effective sourcing.

Merchant will handle buyer communication, price negotiations, order confirmations,



and tracking of deliveries to meet commercial and operational targets. Daily responsibilities also include monitoring key performance indicators, identifying opportunities for category growth, and supporting continuous improvement in processes, sustainability, and compliance.

Qualifications

- Strong merchandising and product development skills, including range planning, pricing, and category management.
- Experience in vendor and supplier management, sourcing, and negotiation within the apparel or fashion industry.
- Proficiency in coordinating with design, sampling, production, and quality teams to deliver timely and accurate collections.
- Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and customer feedback to support decision-making and business growth.
- Knowledge of ethical manufacturing, sustainability practices, and social compliance standards relevant to apparel exports.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for buyer interaction and cross-functional collaboration.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and capability to manage multiple seasons and orders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production, Business, or a related field; advanced certifications in fashion or export management are an advantage.
- Prior experience in a similar Sr Merchant or merchandising role in women’s, kids’, or denim apparel is highly beneficial.
